Security Tips for the Holidays

  1. Make sure you get deadlocks fitted for both your doors and windows to make it just about impossible to gain access and leave with your belongings.
  2. Make sure you don’t leave keys in an accessible spot.
  3. It’s smart to install some outdoor motion detector lights that are triggered any time someone approaches your home at night. Make sure that motion detectors cannot be set off by any reason.
  4. Keep valuable items out of sight from peepers outside the house.
  5. Ask a trusted neighbor to collect your mail and letters every day. Ask the neighbor to keep an eye on your house and report any suspicious activity.
  6. Hire security personnel for patrolling your house. Security personnel’s prevent risks and deter crime, watch out for looming danger, and report any crime they may encounter.
  7. Avoid announcing your travel plans; resist the urge to update your status on social media to reflect that you're away from home.
