Holi Safety Tips

Holi is one of the most colourful, vibrant festival and safety is first and most important for Holi celebration. Holi festival always spreads the message of unity, as we cannot make difference in people mingled in colours. But over the years, Holi has drifted away from its actual concept of celebrating the arrival of spring, being the festival callously commercialized, with the creeping in of several unhealthy practices like usage of artificial colors comprising toxic effects, excessive wastage of water, and consumption of alcohol. So here are a few tips to play safe and retain the sanctity of the festival.
  1. Try to be at home during the peak hour of celebrations as home is the safest place.
  2. Always keep the car windows shut while driving. Never drive a vehicle when you are high on alcohol.
  3. If someone misbehaves with you or tries to put colour on you without your permission you can report it to the police.
  4. Always be prepared with a first aid box containing basic skin healing ointments and anti-allergic medicines for those who are allergic to colours and gulaal.
  5. Do not bump into the frenzied group of mob if you take to streets. Better to stay at a safe distance.
